These are places that we visited and want to share about, but that are NOT Portland Dive Bars. They’re restaurants or bars that may have some elements that make them close to being dive bars, but they just aren’t quite there. Maybe the vinyl seats are too new, or they’re just too upscale. Whatever it is, we liked these establishments; they each earned our review and an honorable mention, but they just don’t qualify as true dive bars.
